A very nice, antique, John Browning, single shot rifle. It is obvious this historic old gun was well used and treasured, by its owners. Made in Ogden in what was then the Utah Territory, it is one of approximately 500 of these rifles made by Browning, in his gun shop. The breech block is marked “J. M. Browning Ogden U. T.”. There are no Browning marks on the barrel, but is positively original. The breech end of the barrel, and the lever are stamped with the serial numbers, “102”. The forend cap is pewter.

Condition: All iron parts are a dark aged patina with a few deep dings in the top of the barrel – Wood has many dings and some old repairs at the wrist and forend – Forend cap has numerous marks, and scratches
