A U.S. Martial Remington Rolling Block pistol. It is an 1871 model with the cartouche “C.R.S.” on the left side of the grip. These initials stand for the U.S. Government Inspector, Curtis R. Stickney. It is finished in blue and case hardening, with a walnut grip and forearm. It is stamped with the two patent dates of 1864 and 1866, on the left side of the frame. Under the grip, on the left side of the frame, is stamped the numbers “8506” and “3271”.

Condition: Barrel retains much of its original blue finish, with the balance a grey/brown age patina – Frame has a large percentage of the original case colors present – Grip has several nicks, dents and gouges, with a very pleasant yellow/brown age patina – Bore is shiny – Action works perfect
