Description
An original 19th century British Sea Service or Coast Guard percussion, single shot pistol with an iron belt hook on the left side of the stock. The lock is stamped with a crown over “VR”, and “Tower” at the rear edge. There are six British proof marks stamped into the top of the barrel, near the breech. The original captive iron, swivel ramrod is intact. The pistol is fitted with typical British military style brass fittings. There is an iron lanyard swivel at the butt of the walnut grip/stock.
