Description

A pair of Salt Lake City Railroad // Electric Car Conductor’s badges.  These trolly car badges date from 1872 to 1901.  The front sides of these badges are both numbered 92.  We believe one badge would be a uniform badge and the other a hat badge, for the same employee.  Both badges were uncovered at a Salt Lake City construction site, with a metal detector.  The larger badge is back marked “HOOLE MF’G CO. // 53 // GT JONES ST.”, and the smaller one is back marked “J.C. MURPHY & CO. // MAKERS // SALT LAKE”.

Dimensions: 2.26″ x 1.95″ and 1.58″ x 1.38″

Condition: Lightly corroded overall – Attaching pins and hardware missing – Paint within face lettering nearly all intact – Back marks are a bit weak in areas.
