Description
An authentic N. P. Ames, martial, peace flask, dated 1844. The charger top is stamped ”N.P. Ames 1844”. It is also stamped by the U.S government inspector ”JH”. This powder flask is of the Mexican War era. It was issued for use with the rifled muskets.

Condition: Body has a wonderful, dark untouched, age patina with many small dings and dents and several areas of split seams, but not badly separated – Charger functions as it should, but the neck is somewhat distorted, all with a nice age patina
