A very nice example of a U.S. martial, Frankford Arsenal, 1902 .30 caliber round ball gang mold. It is for casting the Model 1896 Gallery Practice cartridges. The brass body will cast 5 round balls, at once. It is stamped “FRANKFORD ARSENAL // 1902 // CAL 30 // OML” on the bottom of the mold. It is also stamped “19” on the inside of each handle, just above the brass ferrules. It has wood handles, and an iron sprue cutter.
Overall Length: 8.875
Condition: Brass has a dark aged patina, and a few dings – Iron has a very dark, somewhat crusty patina – Wood is very good with a very minor crack in one handle (probably from shrinkage)
