Description

An authentic 19th Century, stag handle, hunting sword.  It is of European manufacture with high relief decorations.  There is one standing human figure on the brass guard with many types of animals decorating the balance of the hilt .  The langet depicts a hunting scene, and the blade is engraved with a deer, a wild boar and scroll work.  We do not have a scabbard for this sword.

Blade Length: 24.2″

Blade Width at Hilt: 1.16″

 

Condition: Blade is has a very dark age patina with scattered pitting – Brass has a nice untouched age patina – Handle has a dark untouched color with two shrinkage cracks
