Description
A rare 1855 Colt Root rifle bullet mold in .64 caliber. There were less than 100 rifles made in this caliber. It is an iron, two cavity, mold with walnut handles and brass ferrules. It will cast a round and/or conical lead bullet. This is a seldom seen mold.

Condition: Iron has a dark age patina with many dings and scattered rust – Cavities are in good condintion, and unaltered – “Colt’s Patent” marking, on sprue cutter, is barely visible – Sprue cutter screw is a replacement – Handles have some damage – Brass has a nice light age patina
