Description

A Civil War Era, meerschaum pipe.  It is hand carved from a solid block.  The pipe bowl depicts a Civil War soldier with great character.  The soldier wears a Union style kepi with a chin strap and sports a beard and mustache. The stem is deeply carved walnut and the mouthpiece is carved horn.

Bowl Approximately: 5″ x 4″ x 2″

Inside Bowl Diameter: .78″

 

Condition: Pipe bowl shows great age, and use, with a wonderful age patina – Has a number of cracks that have been nicely repaired – Stem and Mouth piece are very good with NO damage
