Description

An Australian bayonet, model 1907, for the Lee-Enfield MK 111 rifle.  This bayonet was made at the Australian Orange Arsenal and is dated August of 1942.  The scabbard body is a very dark brown or black leather.  The bayonet and scabbard are both stamped “OA”.  The grips scales are wood and the serial number is 57838.

 

Overall Length of Bayonet: 21.625″

Blade Length: 16.80″

 

Condition: Blade has a medium grey patina with some rough areas, it has been cleaned and sharpened with some grinding marks – Grips are good with a few nicks and marks – Scabbard body has some marks and some loss of finish
