An authentic Asian dagger with a cruciform shaped blade. When the blade is in the scabbard it appears to be similar to a military swagger stick, but quite heavy. The fittings are brass and the scabbard is covered with what appears to be a thick clear lacquer over a snake skin patterned paper. The handle is very heavy iron and brass also covered with what might be a thick layer of lacquer. The total weight is just over one pound. There is an unidentified emblem with three uncut/raw stones, mounted on the handle. The stones could be natural white topaz.
Overall Length in Scabbard: 17.45″
Blade Length: 9.80″
Condition: Blade is a grey/brown color with some scattered pitting – Handle is good with a chip near the attached emblem – Scabbard has two small chips at the upper edge – Brass fittings retain a light age patina
