Description

A World War One era, U.S. Cavalry picket pin with its original leather scabbard.  It is the model of 1912.  These were carried on the McClellan saddle.  The pin was driven in the ground and used to tether the Cavalryman’s mount.

 

Overall Length in Scabbard: 14″

Length of Pin: 13.80″

 

Condition:  Pin is very good, retaining a high percentage of its original black finish – Scabbard body has some nicks and losses of finish – Straps are only partials but still retain their original buckles
